I am an assignment desk editor and production assistant at KRON 4 News in San Francisco. Working in the 6th largest market is an everyday challenge, but I get the job done as I acquire skills that will prove useful to my future career as a news reporter.
can't wait to get started as a professional broadcast reporter.
I started my journey as a general news writer for my junior college newspaper, The Monitor, and soon was promoted to Opinion Editor. Soon after, I ventured into Radio and Television. Immersing myself in all forms of media, I quickly realized I was in love with television news.
I revel in the adrenaline rush that comes with deadline pressure, the
bursts of creativity necessary for the multi-platform medium, and, of course, the responsibility of delivering accurate and objective stories to the viewer. For me, there is no greater calling than that to serve the public by doing what I am most passionate about--telling a story.
Until May 2013, I was a news reporter for State of Events (SF Bay Area, Comcast, channel 27) and an assignment desk intern for KRON 4 News in San Francisco. Before that, I was a news intern for KTVU Channel 2 News in Oakland for a year and two months.
In addition to checking up on news and current affairs, I attempt to live life to the fullest. I enjoy trying new food, dabbling in new experiences from knitting to skydiving and venturing to new places.
Born and raised in the Philippines, it has always been my dream to travel the world. This is why I jumped at the opportunity to move to America five years ago. So far, some places I have visited are Shanghai, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, as well as several parts of Oregon and Hawaii. I feel at home in San Francisco, but my adventurous, curious spirit lets me happily blend in wherever I go.
I can write, shoot and edit. I am an excellent team player and I can also manage very well as a one-man band. My nearly five years of experience in news organizations, both in the academic and professional world, has molded me into a reliable newswoman.
I'm a San Francisco State University, summa cum laude graduate with a B.A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts.
I feel fortunate that I have found a field I am passionate about, and

demographic. I have experience in gathering information and developing stories that hook the viewer while informing them. To top this off, I am hungry and driven.
I'm a new college graduate who has a passion for telling stories. I moved from the Philippines to the US right after high school. I supported myself through college by working two jobs. Despite adversity, I managed to move
towards achieving my professional goals.
My education coupled with my two years of experience as an intern at professional television newsrooms (KTVU Channel 2 News and KRON 4 News) in the San Francisco Bay Area have taught me plenty. I am fully aware that I still have much more to learn, but features I am proud to have that cannot be taught are on-camera pressence as well as a hunger for more wisdom, experience, and skills to become a top-notch reporter.
All this is what makes me the best fit for your news team.
